Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

SYNOPSIS

Based on the book series by Bernard Waber, LYLE, LYLE, CROCODILE is a live-action/CGI musical comedy film that will bring this favorite character to life and introduce him to a new, global audience. 

Starring Javier Bardem as “Hector P. Valenti,” Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley and Scoot McNairy as “the Primm family,” and Brett Gelman as “Mr. Grumps,” the beloved singing crocodile Lyle will be voiced by music artist Shawn Mendes.

Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, who are executive producing, will be writing original songs for the film alongside Shawn Mendes, Ari Afsar, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Mark Sonnenblick, and Joriah Kwamé.

Directed and produced by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the screenplay is by Will Davies. The film is also produced by Hutch Parker and executive produced by Kevin K. Vafi, Dan Wilson, and Robert J. Dohrmann. The Sony Pictures film will release in the US on October 7, 2022.
